Summitview Elementary School

Good evening, SV families! This is just a reminder about keeping our students safe at dismissal. If you are picking up your child, you need to park in our parking lot and come to the flagpole area or be in the lines in front of our building. Either way, you will need your child's pick-up number card.  If your child is a walker, it is expected that they walk directly home from school.  We do not want children or parents walking through the lines of traffic in front of our building. This has been occurring, especially when parents are parking on 2nd Street, instead of following our set procedures. Doing this could possibly lead to someone getting injured. Again, if you are picking up your child from school, please be in the lines in front of our school or park in our main parking lot and come to the flagpole area. Thank you for helping to keep everyone safe. 

Today is hat day. Students had to donate at least one dollar to participate.

Book Bingo Night is Friday night!!

More information from our PTO: Thursday is PTO’s annual Pretty Posies Flower Sale! Students will have the opportunity to purchase 4 flowers. Each flower costs just $1.00 (cash or coins only). If we have extra flowers and there is time before dismissal, students will be able to purchase extra flowers (again, $1.00 each). At this point, there is no limit as long as they are able to safely transport their flowers home. Students can bring small boxes to carry their flowers home. We will also have cup carriers and bags in case you forget. If possible, please send in small bills (no $50/$100 bills and no personal checks can be accepted). This is NOT a fundraiser…just our spring tradition that has taken place since the 1900’s!

Our PTO meeting is on Thursday, 5/7/25, at 4 PM in our library. We hope to see you there! We are having a YARD SALE on 5/24/25 in our parking lot.

Tomorrow is our last regular day for PSSAs, and it is only for our 5th graders (Science). Our students did an excellent job with their effort and their attendance during this testing cycle. Thank you, Summitview students!!!

Hello SV Families! We are having our last Parent Forum this evening at 6 PM in our cafeteria. Come out to hear about our year and ask any questions you have about our school. We hope to see you there.

This is just a reminder that Thursday is Orange Day. We are encouraging everyone to wear orange. Our students did a great job on the first day of the PSSA!!!

Hello SV families. We had a slight delay at dismissal. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding. The delay was caused by a non-school emergency that took place on our property. The students and staff were safe, but we just took precautionary measures until the emergency responders were able to take care of the situation.
