Our students have off on Monday, 1/16/23, in honor of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. We keep a quote of Rev. King on our website because, as a school, we believe in what he said. "Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve."

The Cupcake Gypsy, located in downtown Waynesboro, is displaying 12 of Summitview's 4th-graders' Oil Pastel Cupcakes. Each of those 12 students will receive a free cupcake when they go in to see their art. The Cupcake Gypsy decided to pick the top 4 and they will be making them into actual cupcakes to bake and sell in their store. The week that the student's cupcake is sold all the money will be saved and the student will get to pick a charity to donate it to! So if you can, make a stop at The Cupcake Gypsy.

Hello Waynesboro families! The Waynesboro Area School District is in the process of gathering information on families who will have a child eligible for Kindergarten in the 2023-2024 school year. Per WASD Board Policy No. 201, your child is eligible to start Kindergarten this coming school year if they reach 5 years of age before September 1, 2023. If you have not completed our Kindergarten Pre-Registration Questionnaire to let us know of your intentions this fall, please take a few minutes to do so. The Kindergarten Pre-Registration Questionnaire can be found on our district website under the News Feed, or by clicking Welcome to WASDPA, Kindergarten Registration 2023-2024. The Waynesboro Area School District is also excited to announce we will be hosting our 5th Annual Coming to Kindergarten Celebration on Wednesday, February 15, 2023! The event will be held from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm at the Waynesboro Area Senior High School, in the cafeteria. Come with your child at your leisure during the 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm window to learn more about early learning, receive fun activities to get ready for school, see the enrollment team and learn more about the official kindergarten registration process that is held in March. During the visit your child will also get to meet their school mascot and enjoy a sweet treat at the end of their visit to celebrate turning 5! We are excited to help your family embark on this next journey. If you have any questions, please reach out to the enrollment team at registration@wasdpa.org and someone will get back to you ASAP.
