WASHS

Hello high school families,

My name is Diane McCallum and I’m excited to introduce myself as your principal! I look forward to getting to know the high school learners and their families. If you’d like to say hello before school starts, I’ll be at Market in the Park this Saturday, July 17 at the Be the Village Table, located near the fountain, from 8:30 am - 12:00 noon. Stay tuned for future announcements regarding summer events for our school.

I would also like to share two additional announcements:
*First, the high school administration is in the process of finalizing schedules for the upcoming year. If you are planning for your child to be an online learner through the Apex program, please contact Mr. Steve Lane via email at steven_lane@wasdpa.org before Friday, July 23 so the appropriate changes can be made to your child’s schedule.
*Second, a message for families of rising members of the Class of 2023. Pennsylvania law requires all 11th grade students to have a physical exam completed and documentation of that exam turned in to the WASHS nurse’s office by November 1. Any physical completed after July 1, 2020 can be submitted.

*Also, a message for families of rising members of the Class of 2022. The Pennsylvania Health department requires all 12th graders have their second meningococcal vaccine administered AFTER the child’s 16th birthday. Many learners have already submitted this documentation, therefore I will be sending a separate BoroBlast email ONLY to those members of the senior class who have not yet submitted this documentation. If you have questions about junior class physicals or senior class immunizations, please contact our school nurse, Mrs. Amy Gebhart at amy_gebhart@wasdpa.org.

Should you need assistance this summer, please feel free to contact the WASHS main office at 717-762-1191 x1200 or me via email at diane_mccallum@wasdpa.org.  Thank you and have a great evening!

~Dr. McCallum
