Hello Class of 2025 Families,
We had a wonderful turnout for our class meeting this morning - we appreciate the efforts students made, especially those not in the building for the full school day - to be part of this meeting. It is the last chance we had to be together before graduation practice! Spring CareerTech students went to CareerTech in order to maximize time in their shops.
A summary of the topics discussed at the meeting is listed below. Please reach out to me via email if you have additional questions.

Participation at the Graduation Ceremony is reserved for those who have met the
WASD
and Act 158 graduation requirements by the last date of classes.
Tentatively, all work for Apex classes should be submitted by Friday, May 9. Mr. Lane will share additional information at cyber check-in on March 20.
Tentatively, last day of classes for
WASHS
students will be Friday, May 23.
Students who fail a class needed for graduation will NOT be able to participate in the graduation ceremony. They will be able to recover the class during summer school (fees apply for 2025) and receive their diploma once completed/passed.

Over 100 seniors need to complete the Diploma Name Verification

form sent by Mrs. McCleaf. Please do so by March 21, 2025.
Mid-April - Mrs. McCleaf will send a Google form regarding graduation tickets.
This form is used to request handicapped seating. (Included in the total tickets given to each student).
This form is used to request extra tickets. (We can typically accommodate a few extra tickets, but not 10+)
This form will NOT be sent to parents/guardians.
Tickets
All graduates will receive 10 tickets for graduation. There is no charge for admission to graduation.
Should graduation move inside, 5 tickets will seat guests in the auditorium and 5 tickets will seat guests in the gym.
Handicapped seating, if requested, will be part of the 10 tickets, not additional.

Graduation Practice (Pending
WASD
Board Approval on March 25, 2025):
ALL PRACTICES ARE MANDATORY TO PARTICIPATE IN GRADUATION.
Tuesday, May 26; Wednesday, May 27; Thursday, May 28
Graduates should arrive at the a-level auditorium entrance between 7:35 - 7:50 am.
We anticipate practice ending between 9:30 - 10:00 am each day - we will run later if graduates are late to practice!
Gifts for your Graduate
WASHS partners with an outside company called The Commencement Group," offering fresh flowers and other gifts to celebrate your child's accomplishment. Purchasing these items is optional. Flowers MUST be pre-ordered and will be available for pick up at graduation. The Commencement Group will have other items (necklaces, teddy bears, etc...) available at the ceremony for purchase (cash or credit card) on a first come, first served basis.
