Newsletter Header 2025

Hello High School Families! Please review the following announcements and access the Frebruary edition of the WASHS Family Newsletter.

First, WASD has a scheduled early dismissal on Thursday, March 13 with secondary students dismissing at 11:50 am. We will be following a modified schedule to complete building-level activities. For grades 9, 10, and 11, the schedule will focus on tasks related to course selection for the 2025-26 school year. Attendance for grades 9-11 will be very important so that students understand their options and the timeline for course selection; make-up sessions will not be offered. Full-time Apex students are encouraged to attend and should contact Mr. Lane if they plan to do so. Seniors who are usually in the building in the morning, as well as seniors who are able to report in the morning, should do so. I will be conducting a short class meeting in preparation for graduation, beginning at 7:45 am, followed by a variety of tasks to support their post-WASHS plans. More details will be shared with seniors via their WASD email.

Second, WASHS will be offering family/teacher conferences on Thursday, March 6 from 3:00-5:30 pm. If you’d like to schedule a conference with your child’s teacher, please use THIS link to schedule, or contact your child's teacher via email.

We will also host course selection information sessions on Thursday, March 6. Follow THIS link in your email or posted on our website for additional details and times, which vary by grade level.

Third, we are asking our families to participate in the Leader in Me “Measuring Results Assessment.” You can learn more about the MRA in the February edition of the WASHS Family Newsletter. Students will complete this survey on in mid-March. There are links in the newsletter to preview the MRA and contact info to use if you have any questions about the MRA.

Fourth, Friday, March 14 is the last day to pre-order a yearbook. Click HERE to access the website and order online.
