WASHS Cheerleaders recently attended UCA Cheer Camp at Slippery Rock University and represented the Boro proudly!  After four days of working hard and learning new skills they won 1st Place Camp Routine in the Showcase Championship and two blue ribbons in skill evaluations!  A total of 15 schools attended this camp, with over 280 cheerleaders. 

WASHS Cheer 2024Five members of the cheer squad earned the honor of being named All American Cheerleaders - Seniors Charli Aughinbaugh & Carmyn Dominguez and Sophomores Abby Bird, Kiley Bui & Charisma Naylor.

Camryn Dominguiez and Alexis Kerley (Junior) were recognized with the prestigious Pin It Forward award given to athletes who showed kindness, motivation, spirit and set good examples for all their peers, even those on other teams, during their time at camp.

The squad brought home the first ever St. Jude's Spirit Stick which celebrates the team with the most participation in the Team Up for St. Jude with Varsity Spirit Challenge. 

But most importantly, the cheerleaders won the most coveted prize of all - The Top Banana!!!  This is awarded to the team that demonstrates qualities of leadership, spirit and the overall ability to work hard as an athlete while still having a blast and entertaining their audience!! 

The hard work is just beginning for these girls as they continue getting ready for fall sports to start and to lead the community in yelling - GO BORO!!!
