Hello SV Families! This is just a reminder about our back to school nights. Tomorrow evening we are having our back to school night for all kindergarten families. If your last name begins with an A to G we are asking that you come at 6:30 PM. If your last name begins with an H to Z we are asking that you come at 7:20 PM. The kindergarten teachers have specific presentations for their classrooms. All other students (Grades 1 to 5) will have their back to school night on Thursday evening beginning at 6:30 and ending at 8. This event is more of an open house so you can arrive at any time between 6:30 PM and 8 PM. If you have any questions please call our office at 717-762-1191 x1800.

Here are the breakfast and lunch options for Aug 23-25. The menu is on the Food Services webpage and a hard copy of the menu should be coming home to you on the first day of school. Breakfast is free for all students and if your family qualifies for free or reduced lunch, lunch will be free for your child this year. Hello SV families! A message went out yesterday regarding student dismissal numbers. We use new numbers every year so even if you had a number last year you will need to complete the form to have a new number for this year. If you have any questions please call our office. Thank you.

Hello SV Families! Please take a look at the email Mr. Pappas sent out to families. It was sent out a little after 5 this evening.

The elementary pool party is on 8/19/23 (7 PM to 9 PM). It’s free for all elementary families, including incoming kindergartners and outgoing 5th graders. We will have food trucks available for purchase. Families can also bring their own drinks and food.

The Waynesboro Area School District will be implementing a staggered start for the start of the 2023-2024 school year to help ease the transition to kindergarten.

We would like to wish this group of former Summitview students and the rest of the Class of 2023 the very best!

We hope all of our students and their families have a great summer! We wish our 5th graders the best and we hope to see everyone else in August!

It looks like it's going to be a great night for the movie! THANK YOU SV PTO!!!

Our (FREE) SV PTO FAMILY MOVIE starts tonight at 8:45 PM. SV families can begin arriving at 8 PM. Please feel free to bring blankets, chairs, and your own snacks to the movie. We will be watching the movie on the field behind the school. We are asking all families to park in our large parking lot or in the field next to the large parking lot (across from the YMCA). We are going to be collecting tickets near the shed in the corner of our parking lot. All students were recently given 4 tickets. If you need additional tickets, please email Steve Pappas at steve_pappas@wasdpa.org and he can make sure your child brings them home this afternoon. It is going to be in the 60s this evening so please come prepared. We hope to see you there!

Tomorrow is Beach Day at SV! Tomorrow night we are having our PTO Family Movie Night at 8:45 PM. Families can start arriving at 8 PM. Please bring your tickets to the event. Families can park in the parking lots and on the field across from the YMCA (next to our large parking lot).

Due to the preparation for the Class of 2023 graduation, the Buchanan Auto Park Stadium at WASHS will be closed to the public beginning Friday, May 26th at 7:30 am until 5:00 am on June 3rd. Thank you!

Our 23-24 K students are on a shark hunt tonight. I don't think they looked in the kitchen...Hopefully, they find him before the students come to school tomorrow!!!

Fifth grade families it looks like the kids might be home a little earlier than expected. The estimated time of arrival could be somewhere closer to 6:15.

Fifth grade families, this is just a reminder that if your child went on the field trip today, please try to be at the school by 630 this evening to pick them up. Thank you.

Our fourth and fifth graders put our motto into practice this week by partnering with Mainstreet Waynesboro. They did a great job cleaning up! Service with a SMILE!!
