Our students did an excellent job with our pumpkin decorating contest. Below, you will see all of the participants and each grade level winner. Next staff members will be painting the winning designs on real pumpkins, and then we will be voting on them schoolwide.

This young man did a simple, but great thing when it comes to school safety. We are very proud of him. His shirt was a coincidence, but as we know good leaders do things to help others, and that is what he did recently for our school.

Our 5th graders are enjoying a beautiful day at Camp Eder!!!
Our school's motto is 'Service with a Smile'. Every year, each grade level does a community service project. This year our third graders are writing letters to veterans at the VA Hospital in WV. Yesterday, a local veteran came to our school and spoke to our students.

Hello everyone! We are changing the date of our yard sale from Oct 14 to Oct 21 (8 AM to Noon) due to the possibility of rain on Oct 14. If you are interested in selling, lots are still available.
Come celebrate the kickoff for StoryWalk on Saturday, October 21st from 10 AM-12 PM at Main Street Park. The first 100 kids will receive a free book and activities packet. Hope to see you there!

Summitview PTO needs adult volunteers for our annual Miles for Smiles walkathon. This fun day is scheduled for Monday, October 16th. You will help count laps for our students, encourage them to keep moving, and serve refreshments after they finish walking/running.
Walkathon schedule:
2nd and 3rd grades: 9:30-10:30
4th and 5th grades: 12:30-1:30
Kindergarten and 1st grade: 1:45-2:45

We are having a YARD SALE on October 14 from 8 AM to 12 PM. If you are interested in renting a 10'x15' lot for $15 please call the office at 717-762-1191 x1801. Summitview students can sell for free, but they still need to register. The last day to rent a lot is 10/13/23.
