Today, the Sapphire Community Web Portal homeroom assignments have been posted for learners entering grades one through five. The district is continuing to work through kindergarten registration so those homeroom assignments will be available in your child’s Sapphire Portal account on August 12.
Homeroom assignments will not be posted on the school doors and will not be given over the phone. You must access this information via the Sapphire Community Web Portal. If you need assistance with your Sapphire Community Web Portal login credentials, please contact the Mrs. Camacho, secretary at 717-762-1191 x1500_.
We will be hosting modified Back to School Night this year. Back to School Night for kindergarten will be August 20, for first grade will be August 19, and for newly enrolled or redistricted learners on August 13. To assist in maintaining social distancing, families will need to sign up for all of these events. Please check our school website on Tuesday, August 4 for the links to sign up. A welcome video for returning to Hooverville will be posted in each child’s Google Classroom on the first day of school.
School supply lists are posted on the Hooverville website. In addition to these items, each family will be asked to purchase a case for their child’s school-issued Chromebook. Cost will be less than $20 and information to purchase the case will be sent home at the beginning of the school year. Please do not send money in at this time.
As a reminder our Hooverville reopening plan can be found on our Hooverville Elementary webpage. This is a fluid document and will be modified and adjusted accordingly.
