    1. Vision Needs

    Special seating may not help student see board: teacher should verbalize while writing on board: student may be able to read from the board but be unable to copy the material.

    2. Fine Motor Skills

    Evident in handwriting, manipulating objects

    3. Gross Motor Skills

    Gait and posture may be affected.   Mannerisms may be present.

    4.  Spatial Awareness

    Poor body image and position in space

    5.  Concept evelopment

    Difficulties making part to whole relationships; trouble verbalizing a concept without visual frame of reference

    6.  Distractibility

    Difficulty staying on task without visual input

    7.  Rate of Performance

    Physically impossible to read as fast; written responses usually take longer; needs additional time or modified assignments
